»More and more solutions and technologies«

The largest Formnext ever had a a pulsating and successful start. For four days, the Formnext will be the world's leading star for additive manufacturing and modern industrial production. Already on the first day, the exhibition impressed with a significant increase in visitor numbers.

On the first day of the fair, worldwide leading additive manufacturing companies showcased groundbreaking innovations: Arburg presents its Freeformer 300-3X for the first time, OR Laser the CREATOR hybrid for additive manufacturing and milling. 3D Systems presented new systems for production and post-processing, EOS showed its new polymer technology.

Furthermore, SLM Solutions impressed with the first 3D-printed car chassis, which was produced in cooperation with Divergent. The FIT Additive Manufacturing Group presented itself on a 3D printed booth. More than 700 additive fasteners were used for this purpose.

Additive Automation

Numerous other companies are also presenting their innovations along the entire process chain of modern industrial production: From numerous new materials to process solutions that combine automation and industry 4.0 with additive manufacturing.

Visitors can discover numerous solutions with which they can set up their own production and manufacturing processes more efficiently and take advantage of the opportunities offered by additive manufacturing.

»I'm really impressed with how the entire industry is developing and how many companies are showing more and more solutions and technologies here at the show,« said Jurgen Laudus, Vice President Materialise Manufacturing.
